Improved Leyland (Murray) Cypress - 1 Gallon

This is the fastest growing tree we carry.  It is often referred to as the Improved Leyland Cypress because it is more resistant to fungus and grows faster.  Wonderful along a property line.  Beautiful when planted in a staggered pattern alternating with Green Giants.

Known as the Improved Leyland Cypress.  Very tough and fast growing tree, and extremely pest and disease resistant as well as drought tolerant. Plus, it has stronger branches that stand up to snow and ice. With a growth rate of up to four feet per year Murray Cypresses quickly spring up in the landscape and protect your yard from wind, noise and curious neighbors. They’re a great choice for planting because they are incredibly low maintenance and grow in a variety of poor soils. 

Murray Cypress respond extremely well to being pruned and shaped. You’ll have no trouble keeping your Murrays at the height you require.  For this reason they are often grown as hedges.  If planted about five feet apart their thick, dense foliage will grow together to create a solid, living privacy wall.
